Commission a Portrait
Select your favorite photographs of your companion. Ideally, these will be large, clear, well-lit images that capture their personality and expression. Generally, I work from one primary image, however I always appreciate having several photographs so that I can create the perfect composition. You will find my price list below.
Step 1: Select a reference photo
When choosing your preferred portrait size, consider your vision for the piece and where you would like to display it — a dresser or bedside table, as a standalone piece on a large wall etc. I work in several mediums including oil paints, pastels and colored pencils. I am happy to review your reference images and help you decide if you are unsure.
Step 2: Consider size & medium
Complete my commission inquiry form where you will tell me about companion, your portrait preferences, and upload your reference images.
Step 3: Contact me
I’ll reach out to discuss the details of your portrait and ensure we can create something you genuinely love. Once we've discussed your vision and confirmed the details, a 30% deposit reserves your place on my commission schedule. You’ll receive an invoice with a link to a secure payment option.
Step 4: Reserve your spot
After your deposit is placed, I’ll start the design process on your portrait and may send a few sample sketches for approval, unless you’d rather keep the portrait a surprise. I’ll also provide an estimated timeline depending on the portraits size, complexity and medium. You’ll have the option to receive regular updates and photographs as your portrait comes to life if you choose.
The work, in progress
Once your portrait is complete and I ensure you’re fully satisfied, you’ll receive an invoice for the remaining balance including shipping. Your fine art heirloom will them be safely packaged and shipped to your home.
